 It seems that the possibilities that their sons will die in sands of middle east, expensive groceries and soy beans crops that don't sell have awake MAGA people from their slumber.

 You never though that you daughter will be the victim of guy like him?

Stalin, Mao and other dictators that starved people were never elected. They climb to power because of a civil war.

You elected twice a dictator that will starve soon millions of people. Through Hormuz strait 25% of agriculture fertilizer pass, to Africa and Asia. 

Mussolini and Hitler were voted once and they kept the grip on power, because they knew that they will never be elected again.

If Trump resignes tomorrow and MAGA doesn't reflect on the mistake they made voting Trump, nothing will change in US. The crowd will find another demented unhinged person to vote him to presidency.

Unfortunately the left is not welcoming to repented Trump supporters, so they transition to a more normal mindset easily.

Art versus religion

 Art is expansive and triggered by emotions and desire.

Religion is triggered by fear of death, punishment , social pressure. It is restrictive, it tries to protect us with rituals.

It constraints is for our own safety.

Art develops us, breaks boundaries and invades territories.

In the religious art you have this tension.

Science it removes the fears and weakens the religion but it damps down Emotion and art.

The social climber in world literature

 I am reading the novel 'Ion' by Liviu Rebreanu.

Ion is a poor ambitious Romanian peasant who lived in the Austro Hungarian occupied Transylvania in mid 19 century.

He was the son of a peasant women who had a lot of land but she married for love with a drunken lazy man who wasted her wealth.

Ion sees an opportunity to regain his wealth by marrying the not so beautiful daughter of a rich peasant in the village, Ana. Her father does not want him, so he makes her pregnant.

Ion actions mirror the actions of Julien Sorel in 1830 Stendhal novel 'Red and black' but is more calculated and cruel. 

In 'Great Gatsby' F. S. Fitzgerald's hero uses money to win over his love Daisy.

In old world, old, tall hierarchies make people trade they feelings for wealth and position, and more the person is to the bottom, more cruel and cunning he has to be climb socially and survive.

Life of Ion is surrounded by death and illnesses. Many women have 9 children and only 3 survive. Ion is a secondary citizen of Austro Hungarian state, his lack of knowledge of Hungarian, condemns him to be enclosed in his village from mountains.

Jay Gatsby on the other hand doesn't have this hierarchical structure above to fight against it, he tries to enter in an expensive club, for this he must equalize generational wealth. And doing so he goes to the bottom of social hierarchy to make a fast buck.

European dream is as ascension in closed tight hierarchy, American dream is ' be what you want to be '

Russian roulette and Russian soul

 Every person is primed by social factors to react in a certain way.

Think how a Finn and Italian will react.

From what I saw high risk situations prime Russians to react.

YouTube is full of crazy stunts done by Russians.

Bravery of Russian soldiers is legendary.

Russian officers can use them in suicide missions because they have fatalistic attitude of "fuck death"

By the way: I saw on TV how an police officer tried to drag a woman who protested against Putin, a man said: "leave her alone, I know you have a quota for the arrests, take me in, instead of her"  and he let himself arrested instead of the woman in the applause of other citizens.

So no wonder that the game of filing one chamber of a revolver spun it and close it, putting the revolver to the head was called Russian roulette.

 Everyone was worried about the fall of dollar as global currency.

Now with increased oil prices due to attack on Iran and net exports of US oil, the demand for dollars will increase.

The fact that China has to pay more for energy is another effect of attack in Iran.

 Hamlet uses the lie if theatre play to tell truth about power.

The power uses the truth to create lies. Spin off stories, paintings and statues who glorify battles almost lost.

US will become soldier for hire for EU and Japan

 With an enormous debt and a need from refinancing. Trillions of dollars in treaduries held by foreign investors, and huge military industrial complex, it seems that the only chance of the US to avoid a plunge of the dollar and a 1929 crisis, is to be gun for hire for investors.

If US doesn't defend Japan, they could sell all the treaduries.

If US doesn't help EU against Russia, it will happen the same.

USA won't fall the dollar won't fall but the positions of power reversed.

Anyway US involvement overseas would not affect the internal politics, and US could dispense some air carriers to defend Japan, to overthrow Iran, and some air force to defend Israel.

Philip K Dick warned us about psychotic AI

Both Isaac Asimov and PKD have created artificial men.

Asimov called them robots and PKD androids.

Asimov organized their thinking top down, from some higher purposes that govern the actions of the tobits.

PKD created their minds by imitation of human beings with no moral judgement no social restraint.

The result was robots were morally superior and they enriched their society while the androids were pure psychopaths.

Application of PKD idea that androids should imitate people led to AI that makes teenages kill themselves and cars that smash into lorries. 

I think a top down approach for AI, starting from some etic goals would have been a better development.

Making a self driving car that respects the traffic rules would have avoided many accidents.

But what morality have the people who have mantra: 'Fake it till you make it ?'

Renne Good didn't want to run over the ICE officer. The proof is the car trajectory

 I had a look at the video of Renee Good shooting and at Minneapolis crime scene  and I made a schematic:

The red rectangle is Renne's car before and after her shot, the brown dot is the ICE officer.

The red line is the trajectory of the car if she wanted to hit the ICE officer. 

The black line is the actual trajectory of the car.

Let's suppose that Renne really wanted to run over the ICE officer.

She was shot and she was conscious, she would have continued the trajectory.

If she was shot and dead she would continues trajectory because nothing would have change it.

 If you let loose your driving wheel , the direction of the car would correct itself to a straight line.

But the trajectory show us that before being shot Renne had turned the wheels to the right.

It turned wheels at an angle of atan(distance from shooting till the car crash/width of the road)=atan((24-10)/10)=atan(1.4)= 54.45 degrees.

( atan is the reverse of the tangent function. Tangent is perpendicular on the trajectory cure)

For example in june 1990 the romanian president Iliescu brought miners to intimidate students and protesters from Bucharest. They had free hand to instil fear. They were guided towards opposition party buildings, to devastate and beat people.

Population was manipulated to hate protesters.

Once miners caught one student and started beating him. One middle age woman jeered:  "Beat him, teach a lesson to that hooligan". Suddenly she stopped and started to cry: "Stop, stop. it is my son, what are you doing?"

I spoke with some miners later, when they saw the truth, when the mines were closed and they were sent to unemployment office to collect some benefits. They were not proud of what they did, and didn't want to talk.

Americans don't know how bad the future can be for them.

Authoritarian regime start to persecute foreigners, then political activist and then people who minded their own business, but are not satisfied with the economy.

Violence is not the base of human behavior

 Since Trump came to office, it seems that the retoric that the night is right is back.

But if a society is based on violence and greed, then the chimpanzees are superior to us.

What civilisation have the chimpanzees created ?

Our ability to create broad alliances made us powerful.

The US alliance system was broad and diverse you have absolute monarchies like Saudi Arabia and democratic countries like Denmark.

The dismissal of smaller more Democratic states and approach to the more powerful totalitarian one, will bring US in a company where it had to lookout for a stab in the back.

Trump is cutting China oil supply ?

 Trump teleported Maduro in a US prison, and he threatened that it will do the same with other south American leaders 

The Venezuelan vice president declared that it would sell the oil headed for China to the US.

Protests in Iran, against Regine because of high inflation. If Iran regime fails or there will be a civil war, another Chinese supply is cut.

An Russian oil tanker is boarded and seized by US Navy.

A threat to Russia ? Cut the supply to China or else we will do the same with all your shadow fleet so you will have to finish the war in defeat ?

Play nice with us and you will get Donbas and a nice exit out of the war .

We are back at siege warfare

 We think that we are in trench warfare because we saw trenches dug in Ukraine but at geopolitical level we are at siege warfare level. 

Russia can't conquer the west of Europe, even if it would break all the NATO countries, because it will inherit a poor territory. The riches of the West are due to its know how and industries, once they are gone Europe is a nice museum. They consumed their natural resources in the last 300 years.

Western Europe is an ideological threat to Russia, and Russia can't remain indiferent.

Because it can't conquer western Europe Russia uses siege tactics: it lay waste to the territories near Europe fortress so the refugee flee to Europe and consume resources: the war in Syria, Ukraine provided a big cohort of refugees, now they directly help refugees to cross the polish border.

It cuts supplies to Europe from Africa: Sahel countries that supplied France with minerals pivoted to Russia.

It divides the decision making in Europe using politicians like Orban,Fico and Babies 

In the other side Europe can't conquer Russia, mainly because nobody wants to die in a war, Russian nuclear weapons and the wastes of Russian territory. So Europe applies the tactic of a besieged: it hopes to tire and exhaust the besieger till it gives up.

It imposes sanctions and searches new sources of energy and raw materials.

The advantage of Europe is that is doesn't have to go in a war economy mode. Only the eastern flank countries should do it.

Also the large Maritime infrastructure allows import of materials from America,Africa, Australia,Canada. This allows a greater flexibility.

Decisions under emotional stress

 Sometimes we take decisions to control our emotions like fear, joy, lust.

Sometimes we take decisions to solve problems.

We must know the difference.

We must delay the decision making till the emotions calm down.

Or we should damp the emotions with something else.

Like taking deep breaths when we are afraid.

 All people who don't like Trump or US cry now that he broke the international law and he kidnapped Maduro.

Where they were when last year Maduro broke International and venezuelan law and they rigged the election ?

Why the law was enforced then ?

Because law is e forced by violence, ultimately. If no one is not willing to risk they life to enforce it, the law is piece of paper. A letter to Santa Claus.

The law cannot exist with a law but it is order without law. The order of the strongest. Based on violence and intimidation. It is cartel/mafia order at global level.

So it is bad news for guys like Maduro who played at the edge of law system. There is no law now.

There is only a big guy who crushes you jaw. As it happen to Jack Logan.
